Alex Katz

Alex Katz is an American artist born in 1927. Alex Katz was always a crossover artist between abstraction and realism. His paintings were figurative at a time when the collective American art scene had turned away from representational art. From 1957 Katz will paint mainly three subjects : landscapes, individual portraits or group portraits. His major communication to us is to see without interpreting things that are not visually presented, and to evaluate the images as what they are - images.
